The Tough Tour 2018 - Sights, scenes and the awards.

I doubt there's need to further discuss the joys of motorcycle riding and its benefits so I'm going to just delve into the joys of long-distance motorcycle riding. We all own motorcycles for different reasons (commuting, pleasure, long distance, adventure e.t.c), each of these reasons is valid but I have come to appreciate more the joys of long distance riding. This is where Tough Tourers comes in.



For those of us not abreast with Tough Tourers, its an organization that affords long distance riders the opportunities to earn their recognition by going the distance, hitting targets and meeting tasks. During the course of the year, an award luncheon is held which is preceeded by a tasking five day tour.
This year's tour began in the lovely city of Kontagora and saw riders come in from all over nigeria. Below are some pictures taken by individuals on the road.

This year's award ceremony had in attendance, Excos of the Bikers in Nigeria, Superbike Clubs Association of Nigeria, Out of Nigeria, Rykers Ride, Fotodadi Foundation, Bikers of Lagos and almost every motorcycle club in Lagos and was held at the prestigious De Meros hotel and suites in Ikeja.

It kicked off with opening prayers from Mr Bukola of Metallic Horses/MH Rider and the MC, Mr. Emmanuel aka Aristocrat MC hosted us to a good mixture of jokes, presentation of awards and first hand testimonies of the tough tour.

This year's tough tour kicked off in Kotagora and headed to Lagos via Katsina, Gusau, Lafia and Enugu. In participation were 6 seasoned riders: FD, Learner, Richard, Daniel and Tolu all of REMC, Kelz and Amara of HRMC, and Mr Wole an Indie. The tales were awesome and hilarious at the same time.
